Obituary for Joanne T. Basile
Westerly- Joanne T. Basile, beloved sister and aunt, passed away at Oakland Grove Health Care Center in Woonsocket on Friday, March 18, 2022 at the age of 66.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Theresa Basile.
Joanne worked as an executive assistant for Electric Boat in Groton. She immensely enjoyed the NY Yankees and was a big Miami Dolphin fan as well. She enjoyed organizing the union functions at E.B.
She leaves her brother Louis F. Basile, Jr. of Groton; brother-in-law David “Squeak” Sammataro of Westerly; niece Amanda and nephew Matthew along with several other nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, March 24 at 11am at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. Burial will be private. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
