Albert Joseph Martin, to his friends and loved ones also known as "Pat" or "Pep", age 91 of Ashaway, RI passed away peacefully with his family by his side Sunday, April 3rd 2022.

He is predeceased by his loving wife Valerie Kay Martin, as well as his son Patrick Allen Martin and daughter Patricia Kay Martin.

He is survived by his daughter Deniese Marie Doughty, son Patrick Albert Martin, as well as grandchildren Valerie, Rachel and Michael Doughty and Anthony Martin.

Albert served in the United States Army, and defended our nation's freedom in the Korean War. After serving his country, he returned home and became a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 478, where he became one of the most skilled and versatile operators of his time.

Albert was a member of several sportsman clubs, where he was a champion trap and skeet shooter. He won numerous events and invitationals, despite losing his dominant eye in the war. He cared for everything outdoors. He prided himself on working and maintaining his land, which he did himself well into his 80's. Over the course of 60+ years, he turned his spot into something truly beautiful.
