Obituary for Edward J. Martin
Edward Joseph Martin, 66, of Westerly, RI passed away after a brief illness on Wednesday May, 11 2022.
He leaves behind his loving companion of many years Bonnie Gavit; his daughter Corey Martin;
and his son Todd Martin. He also leaves behind his sisters, Linda A. Martin, Cynthia A. Martin, his twin Delia M. James (Doug), Marie A. Unkuri, and Jane E. Jacques (Bruce); his brother John E. Martin; his grandson Kahlil Cannon; great-granddaughter Aubry Cannon, and many nieces and nephews.
He was the loving son of the late Roland J. Martin Sr. and Laura O. Martin. Edward was also predeceased by his brothers, Leo J. Martin and Roland J. Martin Jr.; and his sisters, Laura A. Scavello and Delores I. Martin. He also leaves his beloved dog Brody.
Prior to his retirement Ed worked at Davis Standard as a machinist and in his later years he worked for Cā-Gin Concrete.
He was a loving and caring man. He will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be private. A Celebration of Edward’s Life will be held at a later date.
