Obituary for Edwin L. Marr
Edwin L. Marr, 73, of Lynn Lane, Ashaway, RI passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Friday, May 13, 2022.
Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Edwin and Annie Marr.
Edwin worked as a caretaker at Elm Grove Cemetery in Mystic. He was a 1966 graduate of Stonington High School. He enjoyed doing puzzles, landscaping, and computer games. Edwin enjoyed spending time with his favorite kitty Precious and his sister’s dog Coco.
He leaves his son, Edwin L. Marr, Jr., of Taunton, MA, his brother Edison L. Marr, Jr., of Florida, and his sister Rosemary J. Jette, of Ashaway, RI. Edwin also leaves two grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
A visiting hour will be held from 12:30 PM – 1:30 PM on Monday, May 23rd, in the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly. Followed by a 2 PM Graveside Service at Old Plains Cemetery, 99 Hewitt Rd, North Stonington, CT.
