Obituary for Joyce M. Pettinari
Joyce M. (Serra) Pettinari, 87, passed away at The Westerly Health Center on Sunday, May 22, 2022. She was the wife of the late Arthur V. Pettinari.
Born in Westerly, RI., she was the daughter of the late George Serra and Myra Peabody.
For several decades she was the baker for the Westerly Hospital. Joyce loved to bake, knit, and cross stitch. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind her daughter Drena Keena, her son, Kevin Pettinari, and half-brother George Serra, all of Westerly. She will be missed by her six grandchildren, Dea (Chris) Vernott, Andrew Keena III, Sarah Keena, Jared, Taylor & Chandler Pettinari, as well as 4 great grandchildren. Joyce was predeceased by her sisters, Constance Siciliano, Marjorie Selman, and Gloria Jones, as well as her son-in-law Andrew Keena, Jr.
A visiting hour will be held on Friday, May 27th from11 A.M – Noon at the Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce Street, Westerly, followed by her funeral service at Noon in the funeral home. Burial will be in River Bend Cemetery, Westerly.
