WESTERLY, R.I. – Mr. Nils G. Bradley, 89, passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at The Westerly Hospital.
Nils was born in New London, Connecticut to Frank and Florence Bradley.
He graduated from Chapman Technical High School in New London, CT and served as a Seaman in the U. S. Coast Guard Reserve from 1954 until 1956 including several duty assignments in the Northeast and at sea. Starting as an apprentice at General Dynamics Electric Boat in Groton, CT, Nils was a highly skilled Tool and Die Maker for over 43 years. During his youth Nils was an avid baseball player, was a fan of the N.Y. Yankees and N.Y. Giants teams and enjoyed building intricate wooden model ships during his retirement years.
Nils is survived by his wife of more than 66 years Frances C. (Fusaro) Bradley; and his son Kenneth A. Bradley of Andover, MA, his wife Waipeng Lee and their daughter Alexandra S. Bradley. Nils was predeceased by his sister Frances. He is also survived by his sisters, Ellen and her husband Stanley Schultz, and Florence and her husband Raymond Cassel, and by several nieces and nephews.
Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10am on Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly.
