Obituary for Louis C. Pappadia Sr.

Louis C. Pappadia, Sr., 95, of Dixon Street, Westerly, passed away at Westerly Hospital on Monday, June 27, 2022. He was the husband of the late Rosemarie (Murano) Pappadia.

Born in Westerly, he was the son of the late Gennaro and Annie Pappadia.

Louis worked as an electrician for the Town of Westerly School Dept. until his retirement and had formerly owned Main Street Package Store in Bradford for years. He was a communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, and a life member of the Calabrese Society, the Westerly BPOE #678 and the Bradford Citizens Club. He was a proud New York Yankee fan.
Louis served in the US Army and was a veteran of WWII.

He leaves behind his four children, Louis C. Jr. and wife Valerie, Thomas J., Mark A. and wife Dawn, and Paul A. Pappadia, all of Westerly; three siblings, Joseph Pappadia and Minnie Fiore, both of Westerly and John Pappadia of Bradford; four grandchildren, Trina, Thomas Jr., Nicholas and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews. Louis was predeceased by his sister Frances Algiere and brother Angelo Pappadia.

Visiting hours are omitted. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 noon on Thursday, June 30th at Immaculate Conception Church, Westerly. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery.
