Obituary for Jeffrey S Werner

Jeffrey S. Werner passed away on June 30, 2022 at Yale New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family.

He was born at Westerly Hospital to Edmund V. Werner and Santa Werner. Jeffrey graduated from Westerly High School in 1999 where he enjoyed playing football as a Westerly Bulldog. After high school Jeffrey joined his family business as the Food Manager at Watch Hill Pizza where he was loved and visited by his regulars and friends frequently. He was a charmer and a momma’s boy who lived life to the fullest; riding street bikes, listening to loud music, watching the Yankees, and always looking handsome in his signature color - red. In 2019 his life was changed by the birth of his daughter, Kassidy. Becoming her father was among Jeffrey’s proudest moments. Kassidy was the light of his life and what kept him fighting through his brave battle with cancer. Jeffrey donated tissue samples to Mass General Hospital to assist them in researching his rare cancer.

Jeffrey is predeceased by his beloved father Edmund and his maternal grandmother Annunziata Cofone. He leaves behind his daughters Kassidy and Chloe, mother Santa, brother Michael and his wife Christina of Westerly and their children Michael Jr., Anthony, Björn, and Mila. Jeffrey will be lovingly remembered by many friends, aunts, uncles and cousins, especially his Girls.

Visitation will be held at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly on Tuesday, July 5 from 4pm-7pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly where he was a communicant, on Wednesday, July 6 at 10am. There is no procession from the funeral home to church. Burial will be at River Bend Cemetery, Westerly. For online condolences please visit www.gaffneydolanfuneralhome.com
