Obituary for Mary W. Allen (Burns)
Mary W. (Burns) Allen, of Westerly and formerly a longtime resident of Garden Street, Pawcatuck, CT, passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at the age of 103. She was the wife of the late Edward M. Allen.
Born in Waureagan, CT, she was the daughter of the late John and Celina Burns.
She enjoyed being a housewife and mother and lovingly dedicated herself to her family.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter, Mary C. Allen of Westerly. Mary was predeceased by her three brothers, John, Francis, and Walter “Moonie” Burns; as well as by Gladys Fraser, whom she and her late husband had raised from the age of seven months.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday Oct. 5 at 10a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. Burial will be private.
