Obituary for Mary “Louise” Brady (Boudreau)
Mary “Louise” (Boudreau) Brady, 94, of Westerly, passed away at Chestnut Cottage on Friday, September 23, 2022. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Charles F. Brady, Sr., her infant daughter Mary Rose, and nine siblings.
Louise spent decades as a full-time substitute teacher in New York. But even more than teaching, she was devoted to faith and family. In recent years, she was a communicant of St. Michael Church; prior to that, she was active in the Rosary Society at St. Ignatius Martyr Roman Catholic Church in Long Beach, NY. Her four surviving children: Alice J. Hollmuller, Mary L. Small, Loretta J. Brady, Charles F. Brady, Jr. and his wife Joan, eight grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews will miss her greatly. Their collective memories recall her enjoyment of birds, her prodigious knitting skills, and pies, cobblers and cakes baked with love.
A Funeral Liturgy will be held at 11a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 27th at St. Michael the Archangel, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck, CT. Burial will be private. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly is handling the arrangements.
