Obituary for Rita P. Chabot (Terranova)
Rita P. (Terranova) Chabot, beloved wife for 54 years of James Chabot, of Woodville Road, Ashaway, passed away at the Westerly Hospital on Monday, December 5, 2022 at the age of 79.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Phyllis and James Terranova.
Rita was a graduate of Westerly High School and business school in Hartford. She worked in data processing at Electric Boat (Groton), Ulrich Steel (New Haven), and as a supervisor for First Chicago Bank for many years.
In addition to her husband James, she leaves behind daughter Elizabeth Dickey of Chicago, IL; two sisters, Susan Urra and Jamie Orlomoski, both of Westerly; and two grandchildren, James and Gabriel Dickey.
She enjoyed many activities such as working around the home and traveling the world, she visited many countries. A favorite activity at home was creating ornaments and wreaths as gifts. She loved to gather with family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rita’s memory may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
