Westerly - Korie Thomas Bressette, 31, beloved son, brother and uncle, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
Korie was a warm, compassionate, kind soul who left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He found pure joy in spending time with his family, especially his nephews and nieces. Korie had a strong faith in God, he was a huge Minnesota Vikings fan and had a passion for spearfishing and cooking.
Korie graduated from CCRI with an Associate’s in Science, and the State of CT Department of Corrections Academy. He was a Correctional Officer for the State of CT.
Korie leaves behind his loving parents, Kean G. Bressette and Paula Sisco, as well as his stepmom and stepdad, Kathy Bressette and Ronald Sisco; his six siblings, Andrew Bressette (Cassidy), Kainen Bressette (Marissa), Alex Sisco, Sarah Jacques, Rachel Mingo (Byron) and Elizabeth Jacques; nephews, Karter, Mason, Brooks, and Lucas; nieces, Lennon and Raelynn; and loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was the grandson of George and Carole Young and Raymond and Catherine Bressette (predeceased).
Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 5p.m. – 7p.m. at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 45 Elm St., Westerly at 10a.m. on Tuesday. Burial will follow at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly.
