Obituary for Walter M. Kimball
Walter M. Kimball, 88, beloved husband of Gloria (Falcone) Birchell, of Margin St., Westerly, passed away at Apple Rehab Clipper on Sunday, September 3, 2023.
Born in Malden, Mass., he was the son of the late Sara and Everett Kimball.
Walter was a graduate of Malden High School. He then served in US Army during the Korean War. He was employed in management for Narragansett Electric for 33 years until his retirement. Walter was a member of the Rotary for over 50 years where he served as a past president, and was a member of the Winnapaug Country Club. He enjoyed hunting, especially in Maine where he owned a cabin.
In addition to his wife, he leaves two siblings, Charles Kimball of Maine and Sue Adams of Florida; two daughters, Gayle Kimball of Westerly, and Christine Cadorette of Franklin, MA; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Robert Kimball.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10am on Saturday, Sept. 9th at Christ Episcopal Church, 7 Elm St., Westerly. Full Military Honors will be accorded following the funeral service.
