Obituary for Elaine A. Hunt (Clancy)
Elaine A. (Clancy) Hunt, 80, of Buckeye Brook Road, Charlestown, passed away at L & M Hospital in New London on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. She was the wife of the late Francis J. “Buck” Hunt who predeceased her in 2006.
Born in Westerly, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Anna O’Reilly Clancy.
Elaine was a graduate of Westerly High School Class of 1961. She was an avid reader who loved all animals, especially cats. She worked for Yardney in quality assurance for 40 years until her retirement.
Elaine leaves her two siblings, John M. Clancy of Westerly and Nancy R. Clancy Shapack of Califon, NJ. She was predeceased by her brother James T. Clancy. Elaine was the beloved “Nanie” to all of her many nieces and nephews, each of whom she greatly cherished.
