Obituary for Steven M Burns
Steven M. Burns, of Atlas Street, Westerly, passed away at Brigham & Women’s Hospital in Boston on Tuesday, August 29, 2023. He was 67.
Born in Warwick, RI, and raised in West Warwick, he was the son of the late Royal and Christine Burns.
Steven was the owner and operator of 55 Beach Street Café, where he cultivated many friendships with his loyal patrons. He was always ready to lend a hand. He had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh. Steve owned and loved to train his German Shepards throughout the years. He also loved to cook, enjoyed country music and loved to collect trains and antique cars. Steve was a huge NE Patriots fan.
He will be deeply missed by his daughter Alicia Pacheco and her husband Daniel of W. Warwick; fiancée Rebecca Woods of Pawcatuck; and five siblings, Conrad Burns of Coventry, RI, Ronald Burns of Virginia, Janet Burns also of Coventry, RI, Patricia Strickman of Florida and Susan Burns of North Carolina. Steve was predeceased by three sisters, Sheila Burns, Maureen Burns and Sharon Auger.
