Heaven gained another angel as Christian F. Kosztala, 23 years old, passed from this life to the next on Saturday, November 25th, 2023.
Born in New London, CT, Christian was the second of twin sons born to Edward and Bethany Kosztala of North Stonington.
Christian had many challenges in his life and dealt with each of them with dignity and grace. Christian enjoyed music, toy cars, and motorcycles. He loved the water and going to Eastern Point Beach with his mother, grandmother and brother. He also enjoyed swimming in the family pool.
Christian graduated from Wheeler High School in 2019 where he had many friends. After graduating, he attended United Cerebral Palsy Center (UCP) to continue occupational therapy by working with the public at Gourmet Gallery in North Stonington and the Preston Library.
Christian was predeceased by his grandfathers, Joseph Holly and Fedor Kosztala, as well as uncles, Mike Kosztala and Josef Kosztala and his wife Eileen Kosztala, and a niece Liliana Davis.
Surviving Christian along with his parents is his twin brother Seth Kosztala; grandmothers, Donna Holly and Maria Wozniak; his sister Michelle Davis and nephew Jacoby Davis; as well as Godparents, Joseph Janes and Roseanne Janes Derix.
The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to St. Michael Church Capital Campaign in Christian’s memory.

Visiting hours will be held from 5-7pm on Wednesday, Nov. 29 at Gaffney Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11am on Thursday, Nov. 30 at St. Michael Church, 60 Liberty St., Pawcatuck. Burial will be private.
