Obituary for Phyllis T. Anderson (Maguire)
Phyllis T. (Maguire) Anderson, 65, of Thompson Ave., Westerly, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones at Apple Rehab Clipper on Thursday, May 11, 2017.
Born in Somerville, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Edward J. and Gladys Maguire, formerly of Stoneham, MA.
Phyllis loved her work as a devoted and gifted Physical Therapist at The Clipper for many years. She was active in both the Tower St. School Community Center in Westerly as a volunteer and as a member of the Westerly Senior Center. Phyllis was also an ardent member of St. Andrew Lutheran Church in Charlestown. She will be remembered as a very caring and loving mother, sister, friend and co-worker. She was a friend of all dogs and cats, and was a talented knitter, crocheter, crafter, seamstress and cook. Her greatest love and pride is her daughter Sarah to whom she imparted her generous loving spirit and compassion for all living things.
She leaves the sunshine of her life, daughter Sarah Fenstermaker of Westerly; her brother Edward J. Maguire predeceased her and his wife Leslie resides in Fairhaven, MA; brother Dennis L. Maguire and his wife Jackie of Dunstable, MA; brother Dr. Kevin Maguire and wife Susan of Williston, VT; dear friend Diana Severs of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews, including her beloved Eamonn.
