Obituary for Kathryn C. O'Connell (Shock)
Kathryn C. (Shock) O’Connell, 71, beloved wife of Thomas A. O’Connell, of Quanaduck Road, Stonington, passed away at her home on Saturday, June 10, 2017.
Born in Grosse Pointe, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas and Margaret Shock.
Kathryn was a parishioner of St. Mary’s Church and a member of SHYC, RYC and OGYC.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son Thomas E. O’Connell and wife Jennifer Pinto of Boston and daughter Kathryn A. O’Connell and husband Paul Masson of Stonington. Kathryn also leaves three grandchildren, Sienna Claire Masson, Amelia Kate Masson and Ridley Bean O’Connell.
Visiting hours are omitted. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Liturgy that will take place at 11am on Thursday at St. Mary’s Church, 95 Main Street, Stonington. Burial will be private.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Kathryn’s memory to support kidney cancer research at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
