Obituary for Maria Turano
Maria (Murano) Turano, of Marriott Avenue, Westerly, passed away at the Westerly Health Center on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the age of 85. She was the wife of the late Felice Turano.
Maria worked as a sander with Guild Musical for many years and was a devout communicant of Immaculate Conception Church.
She is survived by her four children, Angelo Turano (Robin), Assunta Gallo (Tony) and Rose Turano all of Westerly, and Grace Williams (Frank) of Bradford; six siblings, Georgio Murano, Lina Gencarelli and Assunta Pallante, all of New Jersey and Domenica Magliari, Santo Murano and Vincenzo Murano, all of Acri, Italy. Maria will also be dearly missed by ten grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Antonio Murano.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30a.m. on Saturday at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High St., Westerly. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
