Carole C.  Carpenter (Collins)
Carole C. (Collins) Carpenter, beloved wife for 56 years of Benjamin H. Carpenter, Jr., passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Francis and Marion Collins.

Carole devoted her life to caring for her family. She was a communicant of St. Pius X Church and also volunteered for St. Pius X School where she was a member of the Mother’s Guild. In her younger days, Carole enjoyed bowling.

She leaves behind her husband Ben; two sons, Benjamin H. Carpenter, III and his wife Ida of Westerly and Jeffrey J. Carpenter and his wife Donna of North Kingstown; as well as two grandchildren, Alicia and Andrew Carpenter; several nieces and nephews and her aunt Dorothea Rice. Carole was predeceased by her brother Francis Collins and sister Shirley Plummer.

Visiting hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Pius X Church, 44 Elm St., Westerly on Tuesday at 10am. There is no procession from the funeral home to church.
