Obituary for Donald Lee Helmandollar Jr.
Donald Lee Helmandollar, Jr., 57, of Davis Avenue, Pawcatuck, passed away at The Westerly Hospital on Sunday, March 4, 2018. He was the beloved son of Frances and the Venerable Donald Lee Helmandollar, Sr. of Pawcatuck.
Donald is also survived by his sister, Lisa Sisco and husband Glenn of Westerly and brother-in-law George Smith of Pawcatuck. He was predeceased by his sister Dana Berube Smith. Donald also leaves his seven nieces and nephews, Danielle and Joshua Sisco, Kaleb and Joshua Garrett, Linda Berube, Amanda Berube Garrett and Jordan and MacKenzie Smith, as well as many extended family members in Delaware and West Virginia.
He was a participant in the RI Special Olympics and was a client of the Frank Olean Center for more than 30 years where he was involved in many activities. His personal passion was collecting matchbox cars and he was an avid Red Sox, Celtic and Cowboys fan. He loved children and animals and had numerous friends in church and at local businesses.
All services are respectfully private. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Frank Olean Center, 93 Airport Rd., Westerly, RI 02891 in Donald’s memory.
