Walter Paul “Skip” Heon, 67, soul mate of Christine Kepping, of Pawcatuck, passed away at his home on Wednesday, October 31, 2018.
Born in Elizabeth City, VA, he was the son of the late Paul Heon and Irene Lukas.
Skip was a machine operator with Pratt & Whitney for many years and was the former owner of Heon’s Driving School in Lebanon, Conn. He was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and a communicant of St. Michael Church. Skip was a loving family man and he will be sorely missed by all who knew him.
In addition to Christine, he leaves behind two sons, Marc Heon and Jason Heon; and three siblings, Michael Heon, Pauline Haynes and Cathy Ossowski, all of Willimantic. Skip is also survived by five stepchildren; twelve grandchildren; one great grandchild and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother.
