Mario "Zeb" Zerbarini, 89, of Westerly died July 11, 2010 at his home surrounded by family, his beloved wife of 65 years, Helen F. (Hill) Zerbarini, and his special cockapoo Maggie.
Born July 25, 1920 he worked 28 years at Electric Boat as an Outside Machinist and Industrial Engineer retiring in 1982. He served in WWII in the Army Air Force flying 50 missions in the North African Campaign. He was a lifetime member of the Elks, Westerly Yacht Club, Bocce Club, and the VFW.
Zeb is survived by his sister Mary Madeleine Malaghan and his sons Richard, Robert, and Paul all of Westerly. He leaves behind 8 grandchildren, Lisa Lacerte, Amy DePerry, Scott, Joy, Kristen, Catherine, Kevin and Marisa Zerbarini and 6 great grandchildren.
His legacy will be best described by his enjoyment of family, friends, fishing, and gardening. He will be missed, but his spirit will live on in all of us.
Visiting hours are omitted. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family. Gaffney-Dolan Funeral Home, 59 Spruce St., Westerly, RI is in charge of the arrangements.
