John was my best friend since grammar school. Both interested in astronomy, we often joked we were out of this world, having met on the terminator of Mercury. Friends and I gave him the nickname of "Horse." He was a good man, and I loved him like a brother. I miss him deeply. Condolences to his family. R.I.P., my friend.
